Licences

Generate, import, search, extend, pause, ban and export keys.

A licence key is what your customer types into your program. This page is where you make keys, find them and act on them.

Make keys

Generate makes up to 50 keys at once. You choose:

  • Machines per key: how many PCs may use the same key (1 for most programs).
  • Length: days, weeks, months (30 days each) or lifetime. The clock starts on the customer's first sign-in.
  • Note: only you see it, handy for an order number.
  • Key format: App's format (set in Applications), Standard, or Custom for this batch only. An example key shows under the choice.

The new keys open in a window where you can copy them all or download them as a text file.

Import keys

Import takes up to 5,000 keys, one per line, for example the keys your customers already have from an older system. Each one starts fresh on its next sign-in with the length you pick. Keys that already exist are skipped. Tick Other key formats if your keys are not in groups of 4–8 characters.

The cards and filters

The cards count your keys by status: Total, Active, Unused, Expired, Banned, Paused, and sign-ins in the last 24 hours. Click one to filter the table by it.

Under them you can filter by application, status, type and where the key came from (made in the panel, by a reseller, open access, or flagged as possibly leaked), search by key, note, HWID or customer, and pick a creation date range. clears everything. The Ending in 7 days status lists active keys that reach their end date within a week; the dashboard's alert opens it.

Statuses

StatusMeans
UNUSEDMade, never signed in. The clock has not started.
ACTIVEIn use; runs until its expiry date (or forever for lifetime).
PAUSEDStopped by you. The time left is kept until you resume it.
EXPIREDIts time is over. Add time to bring it back.
BANNEDRefused until you unban it.

Act on a key

Click a row to open the key's side panel: its details, the machines bound to it, the customer and note, and its recent activity. The activity reads like a timeline, newest first and grouped by day: sign-ins, bans, resets, time added and so on, each with its time and where it came from (an IP address, or "by you" for what you did in the panel). Eight events show at a time; the arrows under them go to older ones. The row buttons and the panel offer:

  • Add time: add or remove days. Unused keys get a longer length, active keys a later expiry, expired keys restart from today, paused keys keep it until resumed.
  • Pause / Resume: stop a key without losing its time.
  • Reset machines: forget every PC bound to the key; the next sign-in binds the new one. Or unbind one machine from the side panel.
  • Ban / Unban, and Delete for good.

Ban, pause, reset and delete reach a running program within 30 seconds (see How protection works).

Keys made by resellers

A key a reseller made shows Made by: Reseller <name> and Sold for: N credits in its side panel; the source filter Made by resellers lists them all, and searching reseller:name finds one reseller's keys. Deleting such a key gives the reseller their credits back by itself; Ban (and bulk Ban, and Revoke App) asks whether to give them back. More in Resellers.

Everything on this page happens in place, without reloading: actions, filters, search (it searches as you type), sorting, pages and the cards. The address follows, so the browser's Back button and a copied link bring you back to the same list. The search box at the top of every other page finds keys too: type and press Enter.

A key whose end date has passed is shown as Expired as soon as you open this page, even if nobody has tried to use it since. (The server also marks it the moment it tries to sign in.)

Many keys at once

Tick rows (or the header box for the whole page) and a bar appears: copy the keys, add time, reset machines, ban, unban or delete them together.

Export

CSV downloads the keys that match your filters with all their details; TXT only the keys, one per line.

Freeze all

Freeze all pauses every active key of one app at once, and each key keeps the time it has left. Use it when your program is down for a while, so customers do not lose days. Running copies close within 30 seconds with your "Key paused" message (see Messages). Unused keys and keys you paused one by one are not touched. The window counts everything before you confirm.

While keys are frozen, a blue bar above the cards says how many and since when; they show as FROZEN, and the Frozen status filter lists them. The header button turns into Unfreeze all too, and turns back once nothing is frozen. Unfreeze all gives each one its time back, counted from that moment. A key that had no time left becomes Expired. Keys you paused yourself stay paused.

Revoke an app

Revoke App is the emergency switch: it bans every key of one application and ends all its sessions, for example after a leak. You can unban keys one by one afterwards.
